Our Story

Mechatrons has been building and operating robots for live audiences since 1996. Our team’s history includes appearances across all six series of BBC’s Robot Wars plus its 2018 revival, and over two decades running Robo Riots, Ireland’s own robot combat event. RuBot II, our Rubik’s Cube-solving robot, holds a Guinness World Record and has performed live in front of more than 50,000 people across Europe, the USA and Asia.

That same team and workshop now builds and maintains the full catalogue on this site — every robot, workshop and experience is designed, built and operated in-house.
